Sitemap is the map to your site for the web crawlers or users. The web crawlers are the spiders which crawl the web to index the web pages. These crawlers or the web spiders are mainly used by the search engines to save the copy of links to that web pages to record it in index and for the further processing. The sitemap helps these crawlers to locate that web-pages in a be
tter way. The sitemap is the list of links on to your site, each and every link is listed in the sitemap which is on your website.
In this tutorial we are going to submit the sitemap to the Google's Webmaster tool. Just follow the following steps...
Goto Webmaster Tool by clicking here.
Now sign in there with your existing G-mail or Signup for new id.
Now add your site clicking 'Add A Site' button.
Verify the site ownership.
Now you will be directed to the Dashboard if not then on the home page click on your site address link . On this page on the left side pane under the site configuration drop down click on 'Sitemaps'.

Click on 'Add/Test Sitemap' button to add/test the sitemap.

In the text-box after your site address just write 'rss.xml' or 'atom.xml', as in my case I put rss.xml. You can test the sitemap before submitting or simply Submit Sitemap. Refresh the page and the further page will look like this below...and you are done!!
