If the medium we are using to feel the music is not like that as we wanted, then it spoils the trance. It is the big deal to choose right headphones just by observing it from its cover/package. Type

The headphone also matters in the quality of the sound it produce. The type differs according to its structure. These are as-

Open-air:

Open-air headphones generally have small holes or openings another than sound opening, to pass the air. It these type of headphones are not suitable the for the music lover, who enjoys every beat of the music. It doesn't isolate the sound form the surrounding and allow the sound from the environment to mix with.

Closed:

This type is just opposite of open-air. This reduce the sound from the environment and produce the sound near to original. It doesn't have the openings.

Ear-buds:

Ear-buds are wore in the outer ear. These type of headphones or earphones are small round shape buds which fits into outer ear. But ear-buds have drawback that they fall out of ear easily and many complain about pain it gives after long use.

In-ear:

In-ear headphones have rubber bush which fits into the in ear canal. These produces true sound and mainly used by music lovers and sound editors.

Padded/Cupped:

This headphones have cushion pad which cup ears and produce the true sound as it reduce the sound from environment. This cover ears from the outside and prevent inner sound from outside.

Comfort

Comfort is the main feature which should be brought to notice while purchasing the right headphones. Many ear-buds creates pain, padded phones are also not comfortable many a times if not purchased of proper brand. One should check for its own comfort.

Brand

Brand lover has his unique brand for purchase, he always purchase form the same. However, there are many other good brands, from which you can make your purchase. There are many brand from cheaper to costly in respect with to its price. Sennheiser , Awei, Ectymotic, Bose and Grado are some of the good brands.

Technical features

There are some technical features that we can use together with others to judge the exact sound quality of headphone, these are-

Frequency Response:

The good frequency response is 18-24KHz.

Impedance:

The impedance is something which increase the volume of the phones if the voltage of the device outputting sound is low. Good value is form 16 to 32 ohm depending upon your need.
